Social Services has reached a milestone in its journey to ending chronic homelessness in Sault Ste. Marie. In late August 2019, we became the 19th community in Canada to implement and maintain a quality By-Name List.
A By-Name List is a real time list of all known people experiencing homelessness in the community. This list includes a robust set of data points that supports Coordinated Access efforts and provides an understanding of the local homelessness situation.
This important milestone could not have been reached without the hard work of the Housing and Homelessness team and Built for Zero Canada.
