COVID-19 Housing and Emergency Shelter

Shelters - If you or someone you know is homeless please call

  • Verdi Low Barrier Shelter located at 455 Queen Street West 705-450-0011
  • St. Vincents Place located at 222 Albert St E – 705-253-2770 (Mens Shelter) or
  • Pauline’s Place located at 923 Queen St E 705-759-4663 (Women, Families and Youth)

Additional Emergency Shelters / Overflow Shelter Services 

Through Social Services, emergency shelter is also available at the former Steelton Centre (Wellington Street W.) to enable social distancing for community members in need.

15 hotel rooms have been secured at the Satellite Motel that will allow people opportunity to self isolate should it be required.

Rent and Utility Arrears Assistance

Low income community members who need assistance with rent or utility arrears can call the United Way at 705-256-7476.
