Job Title: Paramedic Services Administrator
Division: Paramedic Services
The District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board is searching for a Paramedic Services Administrator in the Paramedic Services division to join our team based in Sault Ste. Marie. Reporting to the Chief of Paramedic Services; administer the day-to-day tasks for the Paramedic Services department (hereinafter referred to as “PS”), including scheduling administration, time reporting, budget management, procurement, and reports.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
• Schedule administration, ensuring adherence with the collective agreement
• Build (where necessary) and maintain key metric reporting for PS
• Budget and expense management for PS (Chief and service), including operations, travel and other expenses
• Act as system administrator for PS specific and corporate software (including and not limited to: Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Dayforce HCM, Prehos, OSL);
• Provides administrative support with regards to Attendance Management and Labour Relations;
• Procurement support (ensuring alignment to policy)
• Keep records of all contracts (manual and electronic) and advise of expiry dates and renewals;
• Communicate and liaise with outside agencies, service providers, various levels of Government, the public and other departments in an effort to gain department efficiencies;
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new personnel including but not limited to training, documents, and other human resources tasks;
• Prepare correspondence, reports and other documents (including Board reports), ensuring proper distribution and follow-up for action as required;
• Establish, maintain and audit administrative processes to ensure efficient operations (including correspondence, appointments, travel arrangements, responding to telephone and email inquiries and document management);
• First point of contact for staff, customers, government agencies as it relates to general service inquires and administration;
• Attend meetings as required, take minutes and distribute copy final copies;
• Proficient in Acrobat Adobe and intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Ability to interpret and adhere to policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, always demonstrate strong confidentiality in all matters, have excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills and be able to meet deadlines as required. The successful candidate will take pride in producing timely, accurate work with close attention to detail, work well independently and as a team member, and will have the ability to work in a fast-pace environment.
Additional qualifications for this position include:
• College diploma in Business Administration or related field;
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a workforce planning or two (2) senior administrative role in a professional, public service setting
• Knowledge of or previous experience in Paramedic or Health Care Services setting an asset

Salary Range: $66, 795 – $73,172
