Plans for a new east end paramedic base have advanced to the design stage, marking an important milestone in strengthening emergency response services across Sault Ste. Marie.

The future facility will be located on Boundary Road, adjacent to the Bennett Boulevard fire station, and is being designed to accommodate two ambulances.

The project will help improve response capabilities in the city’s east end while creating additional operational capacity within the broader paramedic system, complement existing operations on Tancred Street, Old Garden River Road, Garden River First Nation, and the satellite station in Goulais River.
