Who We Are
District Social Services Administration Boards (DSSABs) were created by the provincial goverment and mandated with delivering services in their respective communities and geographic boundaries.
The District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board (DSSMSSAB), first formed in 1999, is one of 10 in Northern Ontario and part of 47 Service Managers across Ontario.
Our Board consists of eight locally elected members who represent Sault Ste. Marie (5 members), Prince Township (1 member), and 31 unincorporated townships up to Montreal River (2 members).

Community Hubs
Community Hubs have staff onsite from all DSSAB’s divisions, functioning as a collaborative space where our teams and local agencies meet clients to support skills development, connect with services, and create positive change. Each site offers weekly programming and scheduled site visits from other community agencies.

Our Hubs and Offices are closed on statutory holidays, including National Day for Truth & Reconciliation (Sept. 30) and Remembrance Day (Nov. 11).
