To celebrate Kindness Week, SooToday partnered with the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board (DSSAB) to deliver a special surprise for children in a local neighbourhood. As students stepped off the school bus, they were welcomed with smiles, high fives, and gift bags filled with winter clothing, treats, Bon Soo passes, and a children’s book promoting kindness and community.

The event highlighted the importance of kindness, community connection, and supporting local families. DSSAB also provided hot chocolate, popcorn, and hot dogs, helping create a memorable after-school experience for children and their families while reinforcing the positive impact small acts of generosity can have throughout the community.
