The District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board (DSSMSSAB) will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in observance of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. This day honours the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities, while encouraging reflection, learning, and a continued commitment to reconciliation.

Regular business hours will resume at 8:30am on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The closure applies to the Downtown Hub at 548 Albert Street East, the Second Line West Hub, the Chapple Avenue Hub, and all DSSMSSAB-operated child care programs. Clients are encouraged to plan ahead to ensure continued access to services and supports.
