Mental Health Week

Mental Health Week, observed May 3–9, is an opportunity to recognize that mental health is influenced by the conditions we experience every day. Safe housing, financial stability, access to supports, and a sense of belonging all contribute to overall well-being and help individuals and families thrive.

At DSSMSSAB, we strengthen our community by supporting people through housing and homelessness programs, social assistance, and connections to essential services. This week encourages open conversations about mental health, reduces stigma, and reminds us that support is available. If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available through CMHA Algoma and other local community resources.
