  • Two beds within the Withdrawal Management Service are designated for mental health and addiction clients who are at risk of incarceration or have other legal problems. This is a pre-charge diversion service, and only non-violent offences are considered
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Both males and females
  • Free of charge

  • Hours for Emergency Room: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Hours for On Site: Monday-Friday 8:00am- Midnight Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am-Midnight
  • Telephone Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Crisis Services Team consists of crisis intervention workers, psychiatric nurses, and mobile crisis response workers.
  • Service is available to all residents of the Algoma district who are experiencing a serious mental illness or are in crisis.
  • Clients can refer themselves or be referred by a family member, friend, physician or any community organization.
  • Service is available either by telephone or face-to-face

Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT)

  • Hours: 24 hour, 7 day a week crisis services
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Intensive treatment, rehabilitation and support include; assertive outreach
  • Must meet ACT criteria. High prior hospitalization, emergency, and/or community involvement. Priority given to transfers from other ACT teams, long-term psychiatric units and schedule one facilities.
