Employment Programs

Ontario Works is working collaboratively with Community Partners to help participants gain skills that will lead to sustainable employment.


PROGRAMMING:

Pre-Employment Programs - for those who are not ready to enter the workforce due to personal barriers. 

Employment Programs - for those who are job-ready and are seeking employment, or who are looking to update their current skills.

Contact your Case Manager or an Employment Coordinator to learn more about programs currently running.


SERVICES:

While participating in Ontario Works, a number of employment support services are available, which include:

  • Employment & community placement
  • Wage subsidy incentive
  • Job readiness workshops 
  • Resume Assistance
  • Employment related training programs

 

EDUCATION:

Ontario Works will assist participants who wish to:

  • finish highschool education
  • update math, reading or writing skills
  • improve language skills
  • apply for College
