Important notice for Ontario Works recipients receiving Ontario Works payments by Canada Post

Due to the Canada Post labour disruption, Ontario Works will be holding December cheques and payments, usually received in the mail, for pick up.

Cheques can be picked up at the Ontario Works office located at 540 Albert St. E. on November 30th, 2018 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

It is recommended that you bring your identification to avoid a delay in picking up your cheque.   If you require further information about your payments please call your Case Manager.

To prevent future delays Ontario Works recommends that all clients sign up for direct bank deposit.

For those individuals receiving Ontario Works payments through direct deposit, payments will be deposited into your bank account as usual.
