Sault North Incumbents Acclaimed to the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board

Sault North representation on the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board will remain unchanged on January 1st, 2019. 

Incumbents, Janet Gawne and David Edgar were both acclaimed as the Territory without Municipal Organization (TWOMO) board members following the election nomination closure on Friday, July 27th.

Janet Gawne is the current chair for the DSSMSSAB as well as a member of the Northern Ontario Service Deliverers Association (NOSDA) executive.  David Edgar is a long-serving former chair and vice-chair for the DSSMSSAB that was recently recognized by NOSDA for his years of outstanding service.

District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board

The District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board (DSSMSSAB) was created in the District Social Services Administration Board Act in 1998. The Board is made up of nine locally elected political representatives, six  from the City of Sault Ste. Marie, one from Prince Township and two from  the Sault North Planning Board Area. These areas represent the geographic jurisdiction of the Board.

Licensed Day Nursery services for Children 0-12 years of age. Financial Assistance with Child Care Fees & Additional Supports for Parents
